Ruse Harstel is simply like no comedian I have ever seen and not just because he only has one leg. Somewhere in the middle of fighting a battle with childhood cancer that resulted in the loss of his right leg, Ruse gained the ability to find the humor in even the darkest corners of life. It is this gift that gives every one of Mr. Harstel’s performances a distinctively original flavor.

Since the first time he told jokes as a seventeen-year-old in his high school gymnasium, Ruse has been working night, day and across state lines to become one of the fastest-rising young comedians working today. "

On the night of my first performance Ruse asked if anyone was "Unemployed" to the crowd, I answered "yes" and he asked me my name. I told him Ranson Karr, and after a few moments he put it together that I was the next comedian and everyone laughed.

It made me feel not so nervous, and helped me relax. I admire Ruse, he is hilarious and has a variety of unique comedy styles.

I cannot wait to work further with him on the Cry for Help and the upcoming comedy documentry and our other projects.
